Our Current Needs for Food:

St. Mary’s Food Bank is a not-for-profit, non-denominational community service organization with a mission to reduce poverty and fight hunger. We provideood and referral to important services for over 12,000 people every year within the L4W, L4Z, L5C, L5R, L5V and L5W area codes and has been doing so since 2005.

The number of families and individuals dependant on our service continued to grow throughout 2009 with an average increase of approximately 25 families per month.

On June 1st, 2010 - National Hunger Awareness Day - St. Mary's Food Bank will open a second location at 1699 Dundas Street to serve 4 additional postal codes with a population of over 12,000 people using the food bank. In order to accommodate the needs of the disadvantaged in our community, we ill start a community kitchen to serve hot meals, and a new Meals-on-Wheels program for those who are home bound.
